Twelve new acquaintances, a delicious three-course meal, and certainly an unforgettable evening. You and your team partner will prepare one of the three courses in your kitchen – the other two will be served to you. This way, six different people always come together.
We don't take language into account when assigning cooking partners or the courses, so there might be a mixture of languages at each table. We are sure everyone is having fun in any case!
Mainz Kocht! is an event for all people from Mainz and their friends! It is organized by a volunteer team, see our about us page for more information.
We are committed to enabling the participation of people with disabilities and diverse individual needs and to removing existing barriers as much as possible. If you have specific accessibility needs, please send an email to team@mainz-kocht.de. We will then determine whether we can accommodate them.
The next Mainz Kocht! event will take place on October 03, 2026. Follow us on Instagram or send us an e-mail to stay informed.

Bringing people together. Creating space for exchange, encounter, and inspiration. Connecting generations. Breaking down barriers. Moving our city.
The focus is on the topic of sustainability: We offer participants the opportunity to cook with rescued food. Throughout the evening, we aim to raise awareness about the issue of food waste. Moreover, we "serve" discussion questions related to sustainability for each course.
